A New Experience

For Joe Biden, that is: being asked tough questions by a news reporter. This interview with a local TV station is fun to watch, because it makes you realize how rare it is for a Democrat to face hostile questions from the press. Really, it's almost unheard of, and you can see Biden's outrage at the idea that a television reporter is willing to challenge Democrat orthodoxy.

LOL....Google results.....amusing distraction from the point.
Semantic dodging aside, what McCain was talking all those times could just as easily and accurately be conscrued as "socialist" as Obama's.....
But, the point, the FACT is, it's not....McCain's wasn't socialism and neither is Obama's.
McCain KNOWS it's not socialism....even Palin knows it's not socialism...and all but the truely dumbshit Rep/Con supporters know it's not socialism.
Yet, the Conservatives insist on making the accusation of socialism their main point of attack.....not any fact, not a REAL concern....but THAT's what the Cons choose as their "Serious" strategy against Obama......not a REAL issue about his economc plan...but hyping an obviously baseless attempt at smearing character with a lie.
THAT'S why McCain is losing, and will lose....because they're insulting the intelligence of independant and undecided voters by assuming an obvious concocted exaggeration is going not only going to "turn" them against Obama, but swing 'em McCain's way.....even if the Republican party has enough simple-minded dimwits to believe whatever their told, everyone else with a functioning brain knows better....even most the Rep/Cons spouting and spreading it... they aren't REALLY concerned about socialism, they're concerned about losing the election.....and if hyped bullshit works, they don't care if it's true or over-exaggerated smear.
Fortunately, they're going to realize too late the bullshit DIDN'T work.
Someone said the Rep/Cons are suffering from "The boy who cried wolf" or "Chicken Little" syndrome
All we hear from the right is a constant barrage of everything from Obama's a socialist/communist/muslim/terrorist/America-hater/anti-christ/surrender monkey/gun-hater/evil/horrific/demon posessed threat to America, then the Reps all whine and scream "liberal-bias!!" when a smear-weary public doesn't notice REAL, RATIONAL concerns about Obama.
Thank people like Hermie when McCain loses
Why not a tax that directly-reflects what portion of the gdp your income represents, with exceptions for those whose income is spent mostly on subsistence?
If I personally make enough money to equal 1% of the nation's yearly income, then I should pay 1% of the government's budget. That would make too much sense.
The present graduated tax doesn't pay for the government without a deficit. Which is money we borrow from China, a socialist economy oddly enough. Things will have to change. How much money do you expect from the bottom 20% with a flat tax? They make less than 1% of the nation's gdp. Seriously. The flat tax is another retarded tax fantasy created by rich people who hate paying their fair share. So, they try to reinvent the definition of fair.
McCain's comments refer to a "graduated tax". Many Republicans are not bothered by this, while others favor a flat tax. McCain certainly is on the liberal end of the Republican party, which is why he never got enthusiastic support from many conservatives.
In the matter of "redistribution of wealth", Obama's agenda is far more comprehensive, far reaching, and socialistic than the present graduated tax.
A Google search for "Obama is a socialist" returns nearly 10 times as many returns as does "McCain is a socialist". This does not constitute a scientific poll, but I report it as an interesting fact which you may interpret in any way you wish.
John McCain IS a socialist!!
10/19/08
McCain: "I think his (Obama's) plans are the redistribution of wealth"
Question: "Is that socialism?"
McCain: "That's one of the tenets of socialism"
Oh, really?.......
Question: Why should (he) pay more taxes that anyone else just because he makes more money? How is that fair?
"I think it's to some degree because we feel obviously that wealthy people can afford more. So, here's what I really believe, when you reach a certain level of comfort, there's nothing wrong with paying somewhat more. and frankly, I think the first people that deserve a tax cut are working American with children, that need to educate their children, and that's who'd I support tax cuts for first"
-John McCain 10/12/00
"Mr. President, as Senators begin debate on the budget, I want to briefly discuss at this time why I cannot, in good concious, vote in favor of tax cuts"
-John McCain 3/18/03
"I voted against the tax cuts because of the disproportional amount that went to the wealthiest Americans"
-John McCain 4/11/04
The reason I opposed the last round was because, what I felt was the disproportionate favoring the wealthiest 1%"
-John McCain 1/6/03
"The middle income tax credit, the families, the child tax credits, the marriage tax credits, all those I would keep"
-John McCain 4/11/04
"I voted against the tax cut, I voted against it because I didn't think there was sufficient relief for working Americans"
-John McCain 5/26/01
Bill O'Reilly: You want to target the middle class people, and you're willing to live with the rich people paying the taxes here
John McCain "Sure! and I don't want to take any (unitel), in fact the program that I have gives them a slight tax increase"
1/20/00
Wow! Just what Obama said!,....Sooooo, according to Hermie, Popatop and others from the Anti-Obama campaign,.....
JOHN McCAIN IS A SOCIALIST!!
Thank goodness he's going to lose, huh?

As far as your "spreading the wealth=marxism" crap. Trying to raise the red scare because Obama wants to reverse some of the republicans' failed fiscal policies may have been the dumbest thing republicans have done this election, especially in the home stretch. Lose and learn.
You're response to his answers were as loaded as the questions. Give it up.
Biden "handled" everything by lying, as usual, "
"Not tied to acorn, not payed them one single penny"? How about 80 million pennies? for lighting?
"Not spreading the wealth"? Obama said it 3 times, never denied it
Republicans avoid hostile press as much, and you know probably more. Another non-issue.
Now the Obama campaign has banned CBS3 in Philadelphia for asking Joe Biden tough questions.
At this rate, soon the only place that will be allowed to interview Joe Biden will be the Daily Kos.
This was as much an audition tape for FOX News for the interviewer as an interview of Joe Biden. Biden handled everything she threw at him, Acorn, is Obama a socalist?, the new president will be tested. At least he didn't mention FDR getting on TV. :-P
As I said, none of the other candidates have sat through such an obviously hostile interview. I'm pretty sure no one has said anything as stupid as Palin said with Couric, which was pretty mild and open-ended. That's too bad for you guys. Biden handled all of those questions quite well.
Watching you make an ass out of yourself aside, what you saw was someone qualified to be vice president. The ability to speak to the press, hostile or not, is something you guys should probably look for in your future candidates, as opposed god, pro-life, deficit-spending, xenophobic foreign policy, and trickle down economics.
You'll have at least 4 (probably much longer) years to cry about all of this.
boo-hoo.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Poor Baby, When has ONE of the dumbass things said by Obama, or Biden ever had any serious scrutiny in the main stream Obama mania media?
Didn't we just respond to this shit yesterday?
Anyway. A tv interviewer interviews a subject for an audience, this "interview" being an exception. As opposed to informing the viewer to make an informed decision, the interviewer asked questions with assumed conclusions in the manner of an interrogation or a prosecutor's questioning. No other candidate has had to endure such obviously loaded questioning...and they picked the wrong guy to show their hand to. Joe handled it fine.
The republicans haven't had to face any hostile questioning from the press. They barely even speak to the press.
Intellectually dishonest interview and dishonest spin on your part, herm. No big surprise.
Yeah, except for the fact you can't come up with even one interview of McCain or Palin that is anywhere near as biased, baseless, deliberately slanderous, abusive and hostile filth as that.
