American Maadhi?

American Maadhi?

This election is getting scarier and scarier. The quotes are from a 10/07/07 speech made in Greenville, S. C., of all places. The Democrat party is offering a choice between a Marxist and an ex(?)-Muslim megalomaniac. In all probability they will run as a team.

Haranguer, I am a decorated ex-cop, so I did my time dealing with similar issues - none of the perps I dealt with dressed in "I'm a criminal" uniforms and ya never knew where they would show up.

I honor your service and I'm glad ya made it back, but none of that (my service or yours) makes America's bill of rights less important.

How come when half the world belonged to the Nazis, we didn't need to do these things...

How come even when there was a cold war we still figured out that Joe McCarthy was an asshole?

Criminals & Terrorists come and go... America only remains if we keep the faith... in freedom.

Non-citizen political donations are illegal. If you have evidence of this I suggest you call your nearest FBI field office.

The Chinese make big contibutions to all the campaigns. Obama and Guiliani have already held fundraisers in Europe AND China for foreign contibutions. Chinese interests contributed hundreds of thousands to Bush's war chest in both elections, as well as some to Gore's and Kerry's, all legal, just none of them talk about it much, unless it's to accuse the "other side" of being "owned" by the Chinese......the only difference is the Democrats don't pull that because they know that they have taken Chinese $$ too.....but the Neo/Cons, famous for their blatant hypocracy, have no problem accusing the Dems of being "Chinese owned" while they themselves have pockets bulging with Yen.....and of course, relying on their idiot supporters to propagate the bullshit that taking contibutions from the Chinese is sooo evil, blindly smearing the opposition on behalf of their candidate/party who are just as deep in "evil" Chinese pockets.

Like I told Mayo, makes sure your sheep-bleating accusations of big Democrat/Liberal scandals aren't about something the Rep/Cons are as equally or more guilty of themselves.

2007-10-24 12:37:40 EST

You know damn well what I am talking about. Google up "Chinagate for Idiots" and read it. The Chinese OWN the Clintons.

2007-10-24 09:35:27 EST

LoneHaranguer, thank you for protecting us from all those Baptist terrorists!

2007-10-24 09:29:54 EST

Same kind of campaign "contributions" happen with all major candidates Mayo, from BOTH parties. The Republicans are legendary for their "contribution" tricks, and I'm sure the Democrats are just as adept. But if contribution tricks are a judgement against the party or candidate, you're shooting your point in the foot since those you support are just as guilty, if not more, of the same thing.

If you're going to try and smear someone, try to be less hypocritical and find something that isn't the pot calling the kettle black.

Oh, wait.....that would pretty much negate ALL your points, wouldn't it? ;)

2007-10-24 08:12:43 EST

Hey, bearpause. Call me a racist if you want to but just who is carrying out these terror attacks, the Baptists? You ain't too bright are you, boy. I just got back from fighting these terrorists six months ago. You need to spend a year in Iraq you whining baby.

As Campaigns Chafe at Limits, Donors Might Be in Diapers

By Matthew Mosk

Washington Post Staff Writer

Wednesday, October 24, 2007; A06

Elrick Williams's toddler niece Carlyn may be one of the youngest contributors to this year's presidential campaign. The 2-year-old gave $2,300 to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.).

So did her sister and brother, Imara, 13, and Ishmael, 9, and her cousins Chan and Alexis, both 13. Altogether, according to newly released campaign finance reports, the extended family of Williams, a wealthy Chicago financier, handed over nearly a dozen checks in March for the maximum allowed under federal law to Obama.

2007-10-24 03:49:55 EST

Yes.

2007-10-23 22:57:44 EST

Do you really think we're stupid, Mayo? That "counter" has no basis in fact and is on a site that has a clear idiological axe to grind against all things Moslem. You betray your racism.

Apparently, you do not know the difference between what you WANT to believe and what is fact.

Nobody (including me) said there weren't terrorists. I DO say that Bush's 'war on terrorism' is a load of crap and isn't getting anything done except scaring the bejeesus out of whiny neocons who don't have the spine to stand up and support our constitution when it really matters.

If we cancel the Bill of Rights, the terrorists have already won. There will be nothing to fight for.

2007-10-23 18:25:15 EST

Here's a link to an ever changing counter that continually updates terror attacks since 9/11/2001. You can save it as a living pic.

http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/TROP.jpg

The war on terror is real. The majority of Democrats, Republicans, media and even Europeans agree on that.

2007-10-22 20:26:15 EST

Consider there were also approximately 30-40 plots prevented in the 5 years BEFORE 9/11,.....which is also BEFORE the Patriot Act, BEFORE Homeland Security, and BEFORE Bush's "war on terror".

And of course, we can never forget, the one, the worst ever, that WASN'T prevented.....the biggest failure in U.S. anti-terror security....9/11.

Remember whose watch THAT happened under.

Saying the Bush administration's actions have kept us safe is arguable at best, since the number of "prevented" terror plots on the U.S. is pretty much average with that of previous administrations, but there's no arguing that the worst terror attack on the U.S. in history happened while Bush was in charge........the biggest, deadliest FAILURE in "keeping us safe from terror attacks" is also part of the Bush legacy.

2007-10-22 18:49:37 EST

Lone:

a) Multiple attacks with no evidence suggesting they are specifically related or coordinated in any way.

b) Terrorists work in cells... No war in Iraq stops a bombing in any of those places or here, for that matter

c) Stratfor's guesstimates are suspect because they need to look like they know what is happening and are on top of it. They say 'over sixty plots', Ghouliani say 26... proveable? - 0

2007-10-22 03:37:47 EST

You are spot on, Lone Haranguer. For more in-depth, subscribe to Stratfor's newsletter. You will see that most terror attacks are foiled, although there have been about 7,ooo world-wide since 9/11/01. With our porous borders, some terrs are bound to slip through but our people are doing an admirable job in foiling their plans. Stratfor estimates over sixty plots on Americans have been prevented.

2007-10-20 19:30:36 EST

And I hope YOU took note when the administration recently said we're as much at risk of a terror attack here in the U.S as we were just before 9/11.

I guess given the choice between having to admit all their anti-terror measures were total failures, or keeping up the "fear factor" to maintain support for their agendas and keep us scared and manipulated, they hoped we wouldn't put 2-and-2 together and realize if we're at as much risk now as just before 9/11, all their tactics, restrictions and regulations to "keep us safe" have failed.

true or not....their war on terror tactics haven't made us one bit safer, or they're lying, and we ARE safer, but they're using fear to keep us in line, and themselves in charge.

Either way, it makes them lying, manipulative deceivers USING terror for their own power and gain

2007-10-20 07:45:33 EST

I hope you birds are taking note of the terror attacks in Pakistan, India, Phillipines and elsewhere. There but for the grace of Homeland Security go us.

2007-10-19 00:12:33 EST

Their 'answer' is to haul out the 'yer a traitor' card or maybe the 'helping our enemies' song and dance.

Patriotism being the last bastion of the scoundrel.

2007-10-18 12:36:29 EST

It's pretty simple.....FACT: The Saudis, our "allies" in the "war on terror" had MORE documented proven connections to terror funding and support than many of the middle east countries that the Bush administration judged "terrorist supporters and sympathizers"

FACT: Bush Sr. is a paid lobbyist for the UAE.....that's right.....GW's daddy works for the Saudis.

"Terrorist connections" is only the public excuse used to judge a country "good or bad", the REAL determining factor is "oil friendly".....working with the U.S. in the oil and business market evidently excuses terrorist funding and support activities......

in other words, OUR blood for THEIR oil.....and if you're rich and share the wealth, terrorism suddenly is no big deal.

2007-10-17 21:37:29 EST

Score on a couple of targets, Ozzy! If you call those with terrorist ties "Bad" and let's see Bush is in bed with the Saudis...Whoops....

That's how the bullshit on the right works.. lie.. then lie again... then deny... then deny again....

The technique preferred by Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini.... to name a few.

2007-10-13 15:31:07 EST

No, just arguing with one.

Terrorist "ties", or connections, especially financial, were used by the Bush administration as one of THE mitigating factors in deciding who were the "bad guys" in the war on terror.

Never mind that Saudi Arabia was the home of all but one opf the 9/11 terrorists.....never mind that Saudi Arabia has, and CONTINUES to covertly fund terrorism.

Never mind that the Bush administration gave 42 million dollars to the Taliban just months before 9/11

Never mind that Bin Laden was recruited, trained, and ARMED by the U.S. under Reagan and Bush 1 (with direct involvement of both Cheney and Rumsfeld)

Never mind that the U.S. supported both Iran and Iraq (refer to the pic of a smiling Rumsfeld glad-handing Saddam like good friends

All this, and the Neo/Cons say that terrorist ties and funding determine who's "against us"

and you blindly, stupidly go along as if it isn't totally obvious unmitigated bullshit, lies and hypocracy.

Oh yeah, I'M the idiot! LMAO!!

2007-10-13 12:49:31 EST

<assuming ANYONE having ties to terrorists are bad.....> You really are an idiot aren't you?

2007-10-12 11:16:01 EST

Bush Neo/Cons should be careful about pre-judging all Muslims as bad, or assuming ANYONE having ties to terrorists are bad......Consider this....

After al Qaeda attacks on two US embassies on August 7, 1998 and on the USS Cole on October 12, 2000 and the Taliban's brutality and fanaticism, its oppression of women, and its destruction of a world cultural icon the Buddhas of Bamyam on March 21, 2001, Secretary of State Colin Powell announced a grant of $43 million on May 17, 2001 to the Taliban government for its efforts to eradicate opium production. This was only 4 months before 9/11 and is emblematic of the Administration's lack of emphasis on counterterrorism in the period before 9/11.

2007-10-11 19:12:31 EST

Since there's already a Moslem in Congress, it can be derived from your comment, Lone, thay you are prejudiced against that and possibly other religions.

Sounds a little like the guff John F. Kennedy had to suffer as the first Roman Catholic candidate for President - people were afraid he'd take orders from the Vatican.

2007-10-10 12:30:15 EST

George Bush is not nor ever has been a decent human being.......Obama CAN say that

2007-10-10 11:59:13 EST

George Bush is not nor ever has been a muslim. Obama can't say that.

2007-10-10 11:54:33 EST

George Bush is not nor ever was a muslim. Obama can't say that.

2007-10-09 19:58:54 EST

I really don't know who'll get elected... except that it currently lookin' fairly grim for the Republicans... though anything is possible.

America as a whole might be better off if the conversation was a bit less strident and we spoke instead of screaming. Anybody can be loud - not so many people can be smart.

2007-10-09 19:44:44 EST

LOL Maybe God did tell him to go to war. Obama thinks God is telling him to cut and run. Let's see how things progress. If Obama is elected (fat chance), we will know.

Quotes:

Gotcha covered...

"I believe that God wants me to be president."

--According to Richard Land, as quoted in ""Understanding the President and his God"

"God told me to strike at al Qaida and I struck them, and then he instructed me to strike at Saddam, which I did, and now I am determined to solve the problem in the Middle East. If you help me I will act, and if not, the elections will come and I will have to focus on them." --Ha'aretz, 06.25.03

Garsh, pookie... he sounds jes like them there Saddam or Osama guys, ayep...

2007-10-09 18:03:07 EST

"George W. Bush said he prays to God, and God speaks to him, and that he's doing God's work."

Link please.

2007-10-09 16:57:10 EST

George W. Bush said he prays to God, and God speaks to him, and that he's doing God's work.

("...pray that I can become an instrument of God")

George W.Bush also says he wants to spread "Democracy" and freedom (OUR democracy and "freedoms") throughout the world, and that invading Iraq is part of that. So, since he claims to be doing God's work......

("I am confidant we can create a Kingdom right here on earth")

How's THAT for a comparison?

2007-10-08 21:55:35 EST

Oh, I get it... the 'become an instrument of God' line is somehow, in your twisted lexicon, related to Bin Laden?

A quick google search reveals that among the people who say that [and MAY not be terrorists] are... The Catholic Church, The Mormon Church (LDS) and the kaballah.

Might wanna do some research before repeating neoconspiracy rhetoric.

2007-10-08 17:29:16 EST

The words are Obama's, not mine. Seems he and Osama have the same vision.

Now about that "comparing an elected official" to an unsavory character.............. :=)

2007-10-08 16:14:12 EST

The creation of a pathetic neo-nazi jackbooted jerk.

Comparing an elected official to Bin Laden is the mark of a traitor, or at least it is when neocons bitch about it. In the world you profess to want they'd arrest your ass for that kind of anti-american talk.
