Sorry, this isnt my opinion. :) I read an article that a teacher in Florida I think wrote this on the board in class :)
I would vote for Obama if I were a yank.
it's scary stuff, dookie.
i'm proud to say i never dealt with the sub-prime market and instead specialize in secure, state funded programs like calvet for veterans.
so not only is my business hurting because i worked honestly and ethically and tried to convince borrowers that a government loan was the safest, smartest and all-around best program while crooks fouled the system, i am hurting because i get to see my tax dollars spent on bailing out wall street.
interestingly enough - paulson was in charge of goldman-sach's and made millions off these crooked deals. look now at who he has put in charge of the program that disperses the 700b. (hint, he's another good ol' boy from goldman-sachs). scary stuff..
McCain's got nothing. Time for the republicans to start flinging stupid shit in hopes something will stick.
As for trying to blame the mortgage crisis: did you watch 60 minutes this sunday?
pt.1
rj, we disagree on some issues and you do not voice blame nor outrage for the failures within your own party. here again, you stand by your comment that bush warned about a collapse, but you don't give obama the same credit? you are overly biased and personally, i think you are better than that. but i never said you were dumb.
and i have not donated a single penny to the democratic party for this presidential campaign. but i DID text a vote to dancing with the stars ONCE as an experiment (for john o'hurley). ;D
regarding the blame and the mortgage mess, you know both parties are equally to blame - worse, the administration sat back and watched, as did the fbi and sec - and who appointed those people to head those departments, rj?
your comment on supreme court justices is fair. at least obama can name a court decision other than roe v wade, if asked. palin drew a blank. talk about scary. you wouldn't wish THAT future on the rest of us, would you, my dear friend? :)
Hey, Vis - are you Mr. Doodad Pro or Mr. Good Will? ;-)
I don't remember mentioning the native born bit, I must have done it in passing, or as a point of interest.
Shady things? The left is good at pointing out a couple of shadows here and there while ignoring their own dense forest. So why should I bother?
I have stated that I am not real enthused by McCain. But I think he's by far the better choice.
With the financial problems that are in our future, there are reasons to think it would be nice to have a Democrat President we could blame it on, along with the Democrat crew which is largely to blame for the present mortgage mess.
But, there is one reason I do not want Obama to win - his Supreme Court choices would be WAY, WAY too Liberal!
Now tell me how dumb I am. I'm getting used to it! :P
rj, i appreciate you bringing up this topic. mccain and palin have done some shady things to, will you admit it? for once in your life?
you also posted at one point, my dearest rj, a bloop about a lawsuit filed to have obama removed from the ticket because he was allegedly not a native born citizen. how is that lawsuit workin' out for ya? ;)
FUNNY MONEY!
Mr. Doodad Pro?
Mr. Good Will?
$33,000 worth of Obama T-shirts?
The Obama campaign has been charged with "looking the other way" while taking money from foreign nationals, and by ignoring Federal Election Commission (FEC) contribution limits.
For example two donors, who were highlighted an Oct. 4 Newsweek article, gave way in excess of the FEC limit.
"Doodad Pro" donated more than $17,130, and "Good Will" donated more than $11,000. The names were not previously reported because they have made multiple donations of under $200. FEC rules and regulations limit Individual contributions to 2,300.
According to Newsweek, these donations were made in increments of $10 and $25. That would indicate that "Doodad Pro" made nearly 7,000 small donations!
Apparently, both donors gave fictitious addresses. "Doodad Pro" named no occupation or employer, while "Good Will" listed his employer as (get this) "Loving" and his occupation as "You"
The Newsweek article also reported that two Palestinian brothers purchased $33,000 worth of Obama T-shirts. (a purchase that constituted a donation)
That has to be a lot of T-shirts! According to election law, candidates are prohibited from taking donations from foreign nationals
News accounts suggest that roughly 11,500 donors who gave a total of $34 million to the campaign may be citizens of foreign countries. According to both Washington Post and Reuters, Sen. Obama has raised millions of dollars in very questionable contributions.
Newsmax: “More than half of the whopping $426.9 million Barack Obama has raised has come from small donors whose names the Obama campaign won’t disclose.
This summer, watchdog groups asked both campaigns to share more information about its small donors. The McCain campaign agreed, but the Obama campaign did not.
