Barack Obama???

Experience a must!
You don't give the world's most important job to a man with no experience...

yankee, when i had laser eye surgery to perfect my vision, i had numerous choices of surgeons.
i picked the gentleman who was local, had steady hands, a positive attitude, a reassuring staff, and very good counsel. on any given day, he could perform up to 20-30 surgeries. the first time i met him was after they had secured a device on my head to prevent me from blinking. i couldn't even see his face.
my personal risk was allowing a stranger to put a laser on both my eyes.
to answer your question honestly, every doctor has a bad day now and then and there are no guarantees. all i could do, on the most basic level, was make an informed decision, hope everything worked out, pay my debt and go enjoy my life. the doctor i chose was no maverick. and he had a huge assortment of magazines in the waiting room. of course his experience mattered. but so did his attitude and counsel.
your pro and con arguments are absurd. please admit you know nothing about either candidate and are merely operating in generalizations
What pertinent experience could a person bring to the office? Historical? I surely don't care how much paper pushing a candidate has done. Do we believe the president has time to lobby like a congressman?
yankee - Do you think the president's job is at least as important as an airline pilot's or air traffic controller's? They generally have a 56 year old retirement limit, and can be decertified on the mere suspicion of inadequacy. To "decertify" the president takes the word of the VP and the majority of the cabinet... not likely until the guy is building poop sculptures on the desk in the Oval Office.
I'd rather go to a surgeon who is well versed in the latest techniques than go to some doddering old guy who believes leeches and bleeding are a cure-all.
Surgeons McCain and Obama are both using the techniques that have been killing patients for the last 45 years.
Would you prefer your heart was operated on by a surgeon who uses the same techniques as a surgeon who has consistently been killing people for 8 years, yankee?
or would you take a chance on something different?
visitor45~ Barack Hussein Obama has ZERO experience in any leadership position. Palin has experience running a STATE. Assuming no one dies (assassinated?), McCain has my vote due his years of political experience. It's a lifetime of political education. Barack was just a community organizer (so was Hitler).
visitor45, let's assume you needed a heart operation...
Would you prefer a physician with YEARS of experience, or one who has but ONE year of experience???
Isn't the presidency a job which is at least as important as a heart surgeon's job?

obama most suits my beliefs, ramsey, and that is the truth (i do not care for every single viewpoint or objective of boxer and feinstein, but i give them credit - same goes for arnold).
obama is nowhere near as dangerous as many republicans believe, and nowhere near as crooked as bush/cheney. i believe strongly that he is a person who will do an excellent job for at least 6 years, and i give him 2 years to make some fuck ups. that's fair.
regarding the opinions of the poster and "experience", i think you might be a total buffoon willing to let some dingdong from alaska inherit the presidency. talk about "no experience", the woman COULD NOT name one single newspaper or magazine that she reads. fella, that was NOT a "gotcha" question.
can you honestly address this issue and explain why she is a better choice than obama? i await your response..
Bullshit, RJ!! The only "Wasted Vote" is the one not made.
You live in New York. Does McCain stand a chance of carrying NY? If the answer is no (and it is), then by your own mentality your vote is a wasted vote.
I encourage everyone to research ALL the candidates and vote for the one that most suits their beliefs. To do any less is to be a pawn to the system.
If that mentality were quashed, enough people might vote for a third party candidate for them to win.. they exert their power over us through social conditioning such as this... and we eat it up like apple pie.
Do you really want to take the risk of McCain dying in office and Palin being president????? Look up his medical records... not pretty.
I suppose that some people think that a vote for a third party canadate who can't possibly win is a vote against the "system". But it doesn't work that way - it's just a wasted vote. It's better to vote for the lesser of two evils.
Many will vote for McCain because of who he is. Many will vote for McCain because of who Obama is.
I'm undecided but I'm probably voting for McCain, due to his 30 years experience.
Something about Obama makes me think he's a fraud...
So you don't like Obama and you don't like McCain. Who do you like? Have you considered taking your vote to a third party candidate?
There's a guy a few towns away from me that has a big sign on his car to write in Ed Bagley Jr.

You have to pinch yourself – a Marxist radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it’s considered impolite to say so.
