Wow, dookie, you almost sounded like me there.
In 2004 3rd party candidates earned just barely over 1% of the vote. Until that changes, and you can help make it change, there will be no change to the way business in done (back room deals) in Washington.
So which 3rd party candidate can the "say NO to the Status Quo" coalition count on you to support?
More than anything, this action exposes the encroachment on our electoral freedoms by the two-party system. Everything has become so polarized that neither party can afford any division. Neither side is playing by the rules if the rules get in the way, they're playing to win. The cost is democracy.
Before you criticize Hillary, keep in mind that all she did was drop out of the race with an hour to go. Everyone else from both parties dropped out months ago. Part of this should be blamed on a fucked up primary voting schedule.
Unified?
Earlier in the day, Clinton formally released her delegates amid shouts of "no," by disappointed supporters. "She doesn't have the right to release us," said Massachusetts delegate Nancy Saboori. "We're not little kids to be told what to do in a half-hour."
And Clinton did get hundreds of votes in the roll call before she called for Obama to be approved by acclamation.
What happened to Hillary?
She's popular and powerful.....
and Hillary just led the move to suspend the rules and nominate Barack Obama by acclaimation.
The positive response was overwhelmingly unanimous.
The Rep/Con spread propaganda myth of a Dem party divided is (and was) bullshit.
Nice try guys....but in your case, reality bites! LOL
Ah the hypocrisy that is modern politics. Four months ago, Hillary was trying to convince everyone that Obama was the Devil (without actually calling him that) and now she waxes lyrical on how he is our one and only true hope.
Say NO to the status quo, vote Bob Barr for President.
Barack Obama's presidential nominating speech will be coming from a REPUBLICAN VETERAN OF THE IRAQ WAR.
Michael Wilson of Florida, who was an Air Force medic in the war, is scheduled to formally nominate Obama Wednesday at the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
LMAO!! Watching the convention.....I don't think Obama's got a damned thing to worry about....all the attempted dividing of the Dems by the right-wingers is ONLY am issue with the right-wingers.....the entire convention is ripping McCain and the reps a new one.....the "unhappy Dems" hype is just another rep myth to trick and decieve voters.....which, unfortunately, is how they do most everything.
Hillary supporters may not feels great about Obama....but they sure as hell are going to support him before McCain.....
after all, they may be disappointed, but they're NOT stupid!
I'm wondering why, if liberals are as bad as Hermie, Pop and others claim, they, and McCain are trying so hard to get their votes??
Wow, McCain is desperate. If McCain is banking on Hillary's supporters to vote republican, he's fucked.
